Default Buggers Muddle

Here's a couple of muddlers for Orkney, jointly inspired by Alex's 'Kate McClaret', Mark's obsession with silly names, and my sisters penchant for the phrase 'a buggers muddle' (a right old mess)!

Nothing more than a muddled 'Crippler' really, but I've been itching to unleash the name for a while!

Anyway, probably the last flies from me for 2011. Good luck to all of you who are entering the tying comp, and a merry Christmas and a happy, healthy 2012 to one and all.

That autumn brown hair is a lovely colour and sets the tones of the fly nicely.

Hi Duncan. The 'Autumn Brown' was an 'Artifly' purchase. Should still be able to get yer hands on it somewhere. Try Neil at Anderson Angling.

Oh I give up...

Would love to spin these up and have them catch on the lowland water as 'staple flies'. Could practice more and get them looking right.

May be I need to plan on moving North a bit.

Nice flies as ever Rob.
