Trawling through the classics, I came across this little gem. Would you give us the dressing, SS? It looks a cracker

Sorry Bill,was watching the telly there,its simply black thread,blood red dubbing(Artifly)and the wing is hackle fibres from the back of a jungle cock cape.

Thanks very much for the recipe. I wasn't sure if the body was spanflex or something and I didn't think the wing was marabou but wasn't sure.

Thanks for the offer but I've got the makings so I'll tie up a couple - if I get out tomorrow, I'll give them a swim. I like the look of it very much indeed.
