Default Restocking the buzzers....

Some nice buzzers about at the moment on here. Been restocking my box with the two top performers. Nothing new other than the wing buds I always used to use biots but have tried to tie the floss ones seen on you tube by Mr McP and they have been going well plus they are a lot more robust.

Very nice, very fishy. Me like um.

As you say, there are some good buzzers around - and some very generous advice.

I like the shape of the hook & the materials!!

But i am unsure about the loose flexi floss... is the advantage that it catches a bubble of air in the gap or not?

Looks abit flimsy to catch alot of fish on to me

But nice looking flies to say the least

I don't think the floss is loose, it's varnished over.

As Steve says Alex, it's varnished over, several coats. Bug bond would be quicker but I'm not lashing out on that stuff. They will catch fish after fish mate. Much more robust than biots.

You build varnish up over the thorax. This traps some air bubbles also and helps the effect I think.

Cheers,
Mark

Yes they probly do catch fish i was just saying that they might get chewed up after a few fish and could be better to tie them close to the body if they still catch that way, to help preserve the fly for longer
I always like mine to be underneath coming to the top with goose biots or flexifloss
