Butt Question

Tying some black shuttlecocks just now and going to put a red butt on them .
Question is are they better with a red thread , red floss or red tinsel butt ?

Personal choice why not try some of each.
I like tinsel saying that

I use all of them the one thing about the mylar tinsel though is that you are better to give it a coat of varnish or such.

Red holo for me too. I like a bit of shine. I use a wee spot of varnish under/over. Putting varnish on top is a bit of a pain as it's best to let it dry before finishing the fly, but I like the effect.
