Really nice tie Edd, very sedgy.

What's the hackle - I like it a lot.

If you can move the background a bit further away then the shadow won't be so obvious, this is more important on your white background shots, the white paper is taking a full hit of flash and bouncing it straight back, try and move it back, or angle it so the flash bounces of elsewhere or use a different colour!

Thought you'd packed in the tying Ed but that is a belter, the proportions are more or less spot on, well done

for being specifically critical but........for me all dabblers, and all palmered wet flies, bumbles etc should always be tied as sparse as possible, to let the light illuminate them... only a few turns of palmered hackle are all that are required
