Aye Graham, as someone who's supposed to be judging I don't really approve of this sort of thing. It gives voters and judges an idea of who might be sending what and, as you say, the quality of entries. Bad form in my view although I'm absolutely certain that WF didn't intend it in that vein.

Folks shouldn't stop posting flies, that's half of what the forum's about but labelling them as competition fallout is a bit much. Just my curmudgeonly opinion you understand.
