Dont really tie them tried a few last year but thats another story so cant really give u any advice but well done for posting it

Not bad mate for a first attempt at a dabbler, not the easiest of flies to tie. personally I'd reduce the length of the bronze mallard by about one third and make the tail the same length but get the tail fibres so as they stick together more rather than splay out too much. The palmer and body looks very good but you need to cloak the bronze mallard around the shank more evenly as it looks like youv'e tied in it in separate sections, but still a very good effort..

Not bad, you've got one thing right as per the original and that's the wing being long enough to be in line with the tail when compressed down. Over all, the tail and wing are a wee bit long for the hook size and it looks like you've used mallard that's a bit too webby, in as much as it hasn't splayed out in the cloak. Use fibres from further up the feather if you're using big feathers. The head needs a bit of attention regarding stray fibres, but I'm sure you know that already. Good first effort though.
