Default A kate, some varients and then some randomers ...

I started tying some Kate McLarens for my wet fly box then I came up with a sparse almost spiderlike Kate. I tied a mini lure version with some straggle and a washed out tail, its was the closest colour of marabou I have without it being too bright.

I tried to tie a spider on a curved hook and failed, although I rescued it and turned it into a buzzer. And then theres a pretty gawd awful muddler as well.

ALL my photos are taken with a £70 digi camera and I just use a foam block from a epoxy fly spinner to hold the fly. I then balance a blue file behind this and pull my desklight over the top of the fly
