Default whip finish

got me whip finish tool today so started practice tonight,not as easy as it looks had an hour at it will start again tomorrow night,hopefully its going to get easier with practice.snapping the thread was my pain tonight.

They are a ****** to begin with......... I do it by hand these days, but google ted carter whip finish, and youl see Joe doing the easiest demo I know of, using really visible "rope".

Are their any cheap Matarelli style whip finish tools anyone knows of or is it worth just getting the real mcoy

Saw the veniards one in Angling active(stirling angling centre) for £4 GVFM.

I've all but stopped using a whip finish. A needle point of glue on the thread before the final couple of turns holds just fine before varnishing.
