not bad mate, try letting your varnish dry it before taking your photos it will give you a slimmer profile. here is a fly i posted a couple months back it has had 2 coats of varnish on the body and 4 at the head area.

I'm going to be blatantly honest here. Your varnishing isn't good. Either your varnish is gloopy (thick and takes ages to dry) Or your putting it on too thick. Get a new bottle of clear top coat nail varnish and apply a little, allowing it to dry between coats. I hope this helps.

Another thing I reckon you're doing to make things harder for yourself is varnishing the buzzers whilst in the vice? Use artery forceps, hackle pliers etc...that way you can turn the fly easily and quickly whilst you coat it. Just trying to help mate Hate seeing peeps having needless trouble.

Their coarse hooks I was given FOC by someone who tried coarse fishing for a couple of times and then gave up and went back to sea fishing.

Get yourself some fly clips(Scratch sells them),it will make your varnishing a whole lot easier
