Default coloured cdc

I've aquired some quality cdc in different colours, olive, white, orange and fiery brown. When tying f-flies do you bother matching the wing to the body colour, I have always used natural before.Does it make a difference? Failing that what can I use it for? I'm going to fish rivers alot more next season with the odd trip for rainbows, any suggestions for uses?
Speaking of f-flies tails or not? Thanks

Mix and match wings and bodies.
For sedges and midges, no tails.
For mayfly family, tails.
Use a whole feather for bodies, tie by the tip and wind along hook shank. Tie up Shipmans type buzzers this way.

Try fiery brown for both body and wing, good sedge pattern.
