Default Sheer 14/0 Thread

Hello all i bought a load of sheer thread a few years ago & have been gradually working my way through it.I like this thread only problem is it's been poorly spooled onto the bobbins. You get a lot of waste & waste a lot of time sorting tangles as it's poorly spooled.I did see a few posts on forums a year or two ago about this problem.Does the new sheer 14/0 bobins still suffer from this or have they sorted it out yet.Just wondering if i should buy more or switch to another thread. Cheers

Most of the stuff I have is probably at least a couple of years old and have had the same problem with a few spools. Most notably just the other day with some olive where I had to pull off about 20 yards of the stuff, but its now running fine.

i bought a few spools of this the other week and it seemed fine for me. i havent used it alot, just a couple of times.

But i havent had any issues so far.

Maybe other people who have used it more might have a better opinion. :/

The newer stock/winds are a bit better but still not 100%. Another one I find particularly bad in some cases is UTC 70 & 140 which is a shame as I like their style of spool.

The Danville's ranges are pretty good, very rarely, if ever get a problem, ditto for Uni 6/0 & 8/0. Steve Parton's stuff has also been pretty good on both the original & new spools.

Toby once told me there were two different suppliers of spooled Sheer. The stuff I have is ****.

Never had a problem with UTC though.
