I used one of these at the Irish international Fly fair, having stupidly left my LAW vice at home. Luckily Jonathan at Celtic lent me a couple of vices from his display. After an hour or of tying so I gave up on the Vision and used a Regal.
Bad points for me:
The pedestal was toolight and moved too easily.
The jaws were limited on hook sizes, I wasn't happy using very small or very large hooks.
The jaws were not strong enough for me. I was tying in some deer hair and the the hook kept slipping. now this might have been a matter of adjustment but the Regal was a lot easier and I had more confidence in it.

Good points, well it looked very smart.

Vice choice is very personal and the fact that they are still on sale suggests someone likes them, Its just not me.

Cheers

Interesting you say that Chris. We had those for sale at the show too but there wasn't much interest in them. Having said that we did sell quite a few Dyna King vices.

Sean,

The Dyna kings would get my vote every time, I have the Squire, my second vice ever and the professional which I used happily until I got the LAW.
They are a good, well made and very functional vice.

Cheers

FWIW I recently gota Dyna-King Supreme Clamp Version and it is absolutely brilliant. Superb engineering and I love the simplicity of the design - thread adjuster, jaw cam and silky smooth barrel rotation. IMHO some modern vices are just too 'fussy'.

I got a great deal from Sportfish (15% off and free postage) which took the initial pain of the cost away ! The Squire is well within the price range of the Vision vice and to be honest although the Supreme allows adustment of head angle I probably wouldn't miss it (the Squire is fixed). Check Lakeland as well as they always give stock levels and they were good with some of the accessories I bought.
