Thumbs down bulbs

The old 60w bulb in my tying lamp has finally packed up, went to B&Q for a replacement and could only get an "energy saving" bulb and it is Cr*p
Half the light for 3 times the money, what a ripoff.

anyone know where I get a proper 60w screw in bulb?

Yes but according to some you will be helping to save the world.

Watched Huhne being grilled by Paxman the other evening. He wants to save the world by going green but guess what it will cost us all about an extra £150/annum at least

You are better off getting bulbs from the smaller local shops as they usually have them.
I have a couple of dimmers in the house and these eco buld dont work with them and blow after a couple of days.
So I went to my local shop two 60w bulbs for a grand total of £1.18
