Alec Jackson for the singles excellent strong hooks just need to look around for them

I've started using these and not had a problem with them instead of the salars P Partridge Double Salmon Hooks › Partridge Hooks › Hooks › Fly Tying › Page 1

Another alternative are the ones on Deer Creek - Home page go to the flytying section about 1/2 way down & hit on the drop box.

"I feel your pain." My absolute favorite hook (doubles) for Atlantic Salmon patterns (which work a treat for Steelhead fishing) are the Salar's ... but average cost here in 'Merica... PER HOOK .... $1.85 USD.

Had several boxes of "Mashama" hooks posted over to me from the UK, fit/finish of these (cheap as chips) doesn't even come close to the Salar's. Guess it's a 'You pays for what you's gets?'

The partridge low water wilson was the hook for the seatrout . My favourite for years has to be d3st streamer but hard to get now. The original hook was hand made and would hold on to fresh seatrout ,Ken Sawada makes some really nice hooks have a look at them ,
