Default Fulling Mill All Purpose Medium

Hi all,
Thinking of moving my nymphs from Kamasan B175's to the FM hooks as they have a better finish for me. How strong is the all purpose medium (31550) or would it be better to tie with the competition heavyweight (31530).

Thanks,
Brennan

Thanks for the reply.

Do the the heavyweights and mediums have the same shank length, etc.? How lightweight are the 31550's?
I'm not sure what to use yet as I'd rather not have a box of heavy nymphs when the fish are in the top layers because when they are deep I can put on a heavy point fly or a sinker to get them down, if you know what I mean?

Regards,
Brennan

Fulling mill are a cracking hook company, i can get 50 hooks for £4!!! I'll second Silversedge, they're cracking hooks, but i prefer the competition heavyweights personally

The all purpose medium is around 1/3 shank length longer than the comp. heavyweight. I use the comp heavy for anything that might get pulled very quick but the apm is much better for daiwl bachs and semi dries as it is lighter. I have used it for around 10 years and never bent one out of shape on a fish. I also use the all purpose light and have had no problems with that one either.

Cheers
