Default blue dabbler

tied this one with a top and bottom instead of cloacked.

whats your opion on this do you prefer it cloaked or the style i have done here?

i've added this cloaked one so you can see the difference

I could see the sea trout taking a liking to that one

I prefer to cloak mine but I do like this one.

Nice idea Fortbhoy, I'm liking the blue and agree with dabhoy that the seatrout would go for that if you tied the BM more sparsely and more cloaked also but I like that it has a certain something, nice tying.

Nice fly and colours Fortbhoy,coincidence really I was talking today about tying a dabbler type fly for sea trout.

A b4 and after modification shotnow that's improved the look of the fly to something much less bulkier and more fishier in my opinion, fishier...lovely fly

i torn between the two, when wet the cloaked version hides the flash on the body and the winged version has that space so you always see the flash when wet. not always about the look of a fly but the function, food for thought

only if the bronze is to heavy dressed [cloaked]. the second one you posted looks spot on mallard wise.

most of my dabblers are 3/4 . top and two side's. to me hiding all the underlying materials is pointless.
