Get out and fish em see which ones work and tie more of them up,i think they will work in a big wave as they are quite heavy hackled,could be doing with more definition on the thorax,thats my tuppence worth ,and keep on tying

Not bad Gary, what hackles are you useing? you'd be better off useing saddle hackles for dryflies and try and get the hackle length to no more than one and a half times the depth of the hook gape and always keep winding the hackle forwards i.e. don't overlap the turns as this will cause the hackle fibres to lie at funny angles but not bad attempts.

The hackles are way too long Gary and would be better if they were vertical rather than being swept back and the hackles should be tied in with the concave of the feather pointing to the eye of the hook.
I dont fish much in the way of dries and there are far more experienced people on here that will hopefully be able to give you more pointers.
