Default Something a little more "traditional" today

Had a go with the mallard today and came up with these, technically not dabblers although this is similar to a Davie Mcphail style.
Never tried anything with wings before so thought I'd have a bash.

Very nice Gary, your tying is improving well, I can see better form on all those flies, youve posted 1st fly twice by accident, easily done, unless its my eyes again.

Thank god for that some flies to look at instead of *****ing.

These are looking good Gary well done
The head are still a little large but this can certainly happen when cloaking dabblers and is really just down to practice and with the way you are picking up things will soon sort it self out.

You're correct, selected the wrong file to upload. Sorted now

Thanks for the comments.

very nice gary a lot better. tidy up the head finish a bit with a few less thread turns and a couple more coats of varnish and they will be spot on.

hope to post a few flies next weekend myself, feel bad giving advice and not backing it up with a few of my own flies. i've just been to busy with work

That's one of my failures, finishing off I do tend to overdo the turns, I'll get there
