Default Vice upgrade.

I have been tying for just over a year on and off and I am wanting to buy a new vice as my one is doing my head in. Im looking for one that will do me for a good couple of years so would be happy to pay a bit extra. It will be used for trout flies including the odd double for sea trout. Any recommendations or advice anyone can give me is very greatly appreciated.

Pete

Tell us precisely what was doing your head in and some kind folk, I'm sure, will help narrow down the options by eliminating vices with similar characteristics. In short, what are you using now?

My budget would maybe streach to around the 200 mark if it would last me a good few years.

CAE Vices ---- Look very similar to the law vise?? and quite expensive, but if they are simliar quality as a law, that can be forgiven.

Dynaking vices

I would recommend any of the above vices, they would also probably be great value.

Anyway I am seriously trying to get a peak rotary vice, looks perfect for me, but as far I know, they can only be bought from the USA, However, I found a website that sells them, for a reasonable price, (about £100) and all the accessories you can buy for them, and as far as I know, postage is a mere £13, in my opinion, great value.

Haggerty Lures - fishing lures, marabou jigs, crappie jigs, spinnerbaits ---- here it is in case you are interested.

---- and a video review, very useful.

hope this helps P.S. -- If you buy this I will be somewhat jealous, yes I know, It's bad I'm currently trying to get a job where my Mum works, to save up for one of these vices, a fly rod and reel, and a camera, at the age of 14, I have not yet been blessed with the oppurtunity to make my own money, and buy what I want/need.

All the Best

Give us an update on the vice you choose, but try not to let anyone persuade you too much, in the end it is entirely your choice. Take their information though, most people on here are highly experienced and know exactly what they're talking about, except me
