Default Arkle fry

The only lure I've ever tied accounted for two fish at Blagdon, and dropped a couple more, on the last Sunday of the boat season. Thanks again John.

Nice wee lure. I can imagine the movement in that on the sink and draw.

Thought so. I wouldn't like a bad cast to slap that off the rod tip.

You wouldn't want it in the back of your boat partner's head either.

Yes, I imagine the fizzing around his/her lug 'oles could be eerie.

arkle will become famous soon enough
Default Re: Arkle fry

Thanks Mike. I use sequins on virtually all beaded flies these days as they add a bit of extra "turbulence" to the fly, & they also make tying on & securing the bead a lot faster & more secure. A few turns of thread behind it to secuure, then a dab of superglue & that's it, rock solid in a few seconds.
