Default Organised or what?

Every Sunday the mother in law comes to dinner. Every Sunday I have to clear my fly-tying room (formally known as the dining room) and make it look presentable. Used to be a bit of a chore and an immense bore! Until I got organised that is...gone are the piles of 'stuff' strewn everywhere, dubbing and hooks linked . I bought some storage things, made some to...

Anyone else have to clear everything away before some visitor arrives or is it just me?

Chris.

thats quite a set up you've got there
i used to use the dining table also and it was a pain in the backside packing it away when finished. i'm in the process of setting up an area in the spare room the now, hope to have it sorted soon.

Looks good I like the fly clips on top of the magnifying glass thing, not sure what it's real name is, but it's a convenient place to have it.

I've never used the dining room table myself, I'm sure if I did my Mum would have a fit and start going around the floor afterwards with that infernal hoover!

I wish I could have something like this, I just have 4 really useful boxes in a sort of drawer type rack on wheels, one for tools + hooks, one has feathers/capes e.t.c. another has syntheics in and the last has furs/dubbing/ anything else I don't really have a use for yet. I think I could buy another box or two to make it higher, but it's good for now.

Best Regards

When I first got into tying, I used a fold up picnic table, a small suitcase and a small tool box. Great when it was sunny, could set up in the back yard.
Now I have the spare room. Still pack materials and tools away at the end of tying.

Thanks for the replies chaps. God it took a long time to get to this stage. It's a bit like conducting an orchestra now. I never tie anything anymore, just play with the draws

Chris.

I better be careful if thread can break a hoover! Luckily, though, my mum doesn't really hoover much in my bedroom, so I think I'm in the clear for now, until she has another day where we all have to help and clean up the house

Instead of having a bag to put waste in, why not try these ---- http://www.reallyusefulproducts.co.u...ConvertBin.php
They don't actually look that bad

Wouldn't it have just been easier to get rid of the mother in law
