Default Grr annoyed!!

there's plenty threads about small beasties eating materials ...anyone else have problems with bigger ones?
Came back from a fireworks display with the kids to find the dog had got my box and eaten loads of it!!
hares ears in a range of colours, squirrel tails, a cape, basically anything with skin!
It was on a high shelf too so he'd obviously gone up on the computer desk via the chair to get at it

he's lucky he'd already had his bits removed

Sorry to hear it euan
My dog would be exactly the same if he had the slightest oppurtunity, he's eaten everything, pens, hairbrushes, toilet roll, cat litter, even found a dead mouse, disgusting

Anyway, hope you manage to recover some materials, or buy new ones, at least he has had not had the most expensive stuff (I think and hope) like some expensive capes e.t.c. Imagine a jungle cock cape going to waste!

Once again, sorry to hear about this, not something to come home to

Keep all of my materials in a few boxes (Really useful boxes) in a shelf type system on wheels, very useful...

Go Shopping - Really Useful Boxes - Storage towers - Storage tower with 1x4 + 3x9 litre Really Useful Boxes ---- just to give an idea on what I'm on about, also has lots of other storage boxes e.t.c on the website --- but, just an idea, you can store things how it suits you best

Best Regards

I take it your box doesn't have some sort of clasp/latch or was it a cardboard box?

Mmm you have my sympathy. Mrs freinds left their mut here for 24 hours a month back, little cretin got into my room and ragged a hen cape . Luckily I heard the snarling before any more damage was done. IT heard some snarling to...when I entered the room .

Chris.

Yes, same trouble. 15 month old springer and it is MENTAL.... Miss it's walk time by 5 minutes in the morning and expect to find destruction as you approach the top of the stairs. Recently she has eaten at least a couple of hundred quids worth of capes and furs, and most recently she chewed the tip section on a 15' rod.

There's no point in kicking it's kanute in. It knows it was wrong, but it still looks at me as if to say "leave it lying and I'll do it again!!"

Yeah it was nothing too expensive or irreplacable luckily!

A better box/storage system would no doubt help as would putting it away in the cupboard its meant to live in It was all just in a cardboard box.

What I found curious was what he didnt eat - from a bag with 2/3 squirrel tails the dyed black one was intact, likewise a bag that had 2 1/2 capes had the dyed black one left but the natural one was gone.

If the black dye is offputting to dogs what about fish??

He's not a small dog (Munsterlander) so getting up on this cluttered table to get at it must have required some effort!
