Default Mayfly wings

I remember using a certain feather to tie mayfly wings many moons ago. They were basically "n" shaped feather....ie they bend over through 180 degrees.

Can't remember what they were...any suggestions ?

Andy

Mallard breast possibly, they're used a lot on Irish mayfly patterns.

That sounds about right, the natural curve of the breast feather makes it ideal for the wings (even if it is really too big to be a good imitation, ) they certainly sell well and must get eaten by a lot of fish.
