Default Shrimps

Tied these flies in a bit of a rush before a trip to grafham a couple of weeks ago. Not the tidiest of flies but the second one took my best fish of the day, a rainbow of around 3 1/2lb.

I love scruffy flies. I would say the second is more shrimpy than the first.

Cheers Sarg, Scruffy was definitely the aim with these. You're probably right though, the first one might be better described as a snatcher I guess, but I tied it with the intention of fishing it if the fish were in the upper layers, as it turned out I didn't need it on that occasion so it stayed dry.
