Default Muddlers, another attempt!

Having seen Andrew's cracking muddlers, I just had to have another go

Any better?

Looks great!
A pattern like that will always get results whipped through just under the surface on bright, sunny days.

I'm with Steve there, but one other way (I've had success with late/low water Steelhead) is to fish those off a short sink tip (or sinking poly leader) with just a couple of feet of leader. 'Tip' pulls it down, the short leader lets the fly ride up a few inches off the bottom.

"Deadly" fly/system for fishing tail-outs and shallow riffle water.
