Devaux is a french (i think) fishing brand. I ask about the guy who tyes the flies. I would like to know the recipe of a sedge that floats so fine. The ñame of the fly is D13 and belongs to a collection called competition.
This is a link where i buy the fly:

If you know the name of the tyer i apreciate the help. Lots of thanks!!

I have some of their leather dryers, line straighteners and a fly patch. If it is the same French company try google for MOUCHES DEVAUX CHAMPAGNOLE
Bellegarde Sur Valserine - FRANCE

The tying looks very similar to a fly posted here in a thread on flies for the duo a little while ago.

Think it was
B170 size 12
Hares ear abdomen
roe deer hair wing (tied in two bunches)
TMC aerowing post
Dun genetic hackle

Floats like a cork and good for holding up nymphs etc...

Looks very similar to that fly.

Yes this could be the fly. Like you say, it is a cork. I use it for fishing the duo in size 14 with small nymphs. I'll try with hares ear but i don't know if it is the correct material. The body is the doubt, what could be the best floater?? I have tried with artic hare feet but original floats better.

Falsecast you are wright. This is the brand but they haven't web. Thanks!!
Lots of thanks friends, i continue looking for the tyer.

Jose,

The flies were dressed by Madame Devaux and her team of girls. Sometimes in the 1990s (I think), long after Monsieur Devaux had passes away, the name "Devaux" was sold to a company in Thailand:

Fly Fishing Supplies - Flies, feathers, hooks, materials: Mouches Devaux (France) and C.M.K. Flies & Feathers (Thailand)

So technicaly, there is no fly dresser you could ask, and I doubt, that the chaps in Thailand will tell you anything.

With the very best regards
Christian

P.S.: please see the link below for a nice articel on Devaux; there's also a little pic of Madame Devaux dressing flies.

http://www.nicolas39-peche-mouche.co...A0-Champagnole.

P.P.S.: if you post a pic of the fly, I'll check my Devaux catalogs if I can find it and send you the description/writeup on it. Maybe it says what materials are used in the construction.s

I was kindly sent a path of muskrat fur and I now use this for this sort of fly as the fur is actually buoyant unlike hare. I think the fibres are hollow. With all that deer hair and a parachute hackle though I do not think the body material will be too important, superfine dubbings are good forr dry flies also.
