Had a mess about today folks and came up with this

i like it i think pheasant tail would look better for the tail.
it would look more like a may fly pattern if you did that

I like it, although very bright, but the trout will love it I think, it's very similar to one of the flies I have tyed before, but with pheasant tail fibres for the tail, green body hackle and a natural coloured french partridge hackle.

For photos, does your camera have a macro setting? If so set it to that, mine has macro down to 1cm away, which means that the lens is only 1cm away from the thing I am taking a picture of. Your photos aren't too bad anyway you could try putting a backdrop to the fly, mine is just a peice of paper folded in half to make it stand up.
