Question watershed

Im needing a little bit of info please gents.
Considering buying watershed to apply to my dries, is it ok and does it work on cdc feathers ? As I have heard that one or two materials have an adverse effect on cdc.

It's good stuff but not for CDC. CDC is best left alone.

i agree leave cdc alone,if you need to get some frogs fanny & treat the fly after it's caught a few fish & it will float like a cork again

Should leave cdc as is. The fine hiars not only hold and trap air bubbles. but it hasit'sown oils. Applying anything else to it can damage it's properties. Best just to dry it off.

gink works well on cdc feathers as long as it's used sparingly, the fiber form hold the fly up as most cdc feathers will have no oil left in them, as they will lose the oil gradually after harvesting or bleaching to dye them

For the first time this year I applied a very small amount of CDC oil to the fly before fishing.
I have to say, used sparingly, I think it did help a bit, but after a fish was caught, it needed a good wash and a FF treatment to float again.
I love CDC flies, I just wish they didn't require so much maintenance.
