Default 2 minute spider

a simple litte pattern here that has got me a out of trouble a lot.

only three ingredients black thread, black wire and black hackle.

i had a 11.5lb rainbow at glen of rothes on this little pattern on a 5wt and 5lb tippet a bit hairy but a lot of fun

Replace the ribbing on the Williams Favourite with fine red wire and you have a killing grayling fly.
Rib the 'Black Magic' and you have an even better grayling fly.
Tie them down to 20's and off you go.

Phil, the smilie was because you seemed to imply that the Williams Favourite is "from 200 years ago". I know you didn't really mean that though.
