Thanks flytyingguy and fortbhoy, simple yes as I tried to keep the bulk down on this one to give it a sparser look but the tail could do with being just a bit longer I think.

Very nice indeed Mark. It's got 'eat me' written all over it. Tell me though, are you dressing these latest Dabbler-style flies short on purpose, or is it legacy/hangover from the spiders and river wets? Not saying it's right or wrong, in fact I think the ones you've shown quite suit it, but the body in the last two cases has been well short of the bend. One thing I can't live with though is wound marabou for the body on palmered wets.... the law says it gots to seals fur

How did the Scotland trip go?

Thanks Rob, yes they are well short I do agree and you might be right about the spider effect although I am trying to ween myself off the short style so they should be getting longer. Quite right about the seals fur, I'm in the process of getting some more in a variety of colours but thought I'd try the marabou for a change like eh, but yes on a palmered fly it has to be seals fur for utmost effect. The trip to Scotland is going to be in the earlier part of next week hopefully as I postponed it slightly becos of the wind issues, very windy lately,,,what a wimp but I'll let you know how it goes and thanks for asking.
