Default What do you store tying materials in?

Hi,
I am just wondering what people store their tying materials in? (If kept in the house).
I am trying to avoid living in the shed and so need something that will be practical for tying but also keep the wife happy if its in the house!

Thanks...

Hobbycraft have a good selection of stacking boxes. Also B&Q and the other large DIY stores.

You have that much already?

Smaller bits I keep in baby formula tins sorted by category. Capes and wings I have large cardboard box and each is kept in individual zip lock bags within that.

Well, thats when its put away, most of the time half of it is strewn over the bench :P

I store mine in a Contico plastic tower with eleven drawers in it. You get them from most large DIY type stores. I have another in my loft for materials I don't use very often.

Dubbing material in coin collectors/slide wallets, most feathers in zip-top bags inside a4 zip-top files. Plus all sorts of boxes, trays, re-sealable boxes, plastic crates etc for the bulk of it. Whatever you do, DO NOT store ANY of it outside, as you'll end up loosing it to mites etc.

Rymans stationers sell plastic sorage boxes , I use the " really useful boxes" They do some with plastic insert trays which are great for tools and threads etc. The ordinary ones come in a range of sizes for capes furs etc. I find them excellent...

i always store my tying materials in the original zip lock packaging and then into plastic shoe box containers.
