we had flat calm on arkaig yesterday
so knocked up a few flies that should work in these conditions

the suspender buzzer usually does the business for me in flat calm.
the hatching midge i've not really tried yet,seen it on youtube.
it looks the part with its cdc wings.

Superb flies mate, i found black pennel works on a flat calm in arkaig, i always try to fish slim, small patterns on arkaig when its flat, those flies will work though, tell us how ye got on.

I love the suspender buzzer,can I have the recipe please?Also how do you tie the wingbuds like that?It looks a lot more like the real thing than how I do it.

hi Russ L, watch davie mcphails buzzer vids on youtube it will show you how to tie the goose biots like that

hook, kamasan b100 12
thread, uni 8/0 black
rib, peackock eye stripped
buds, yellow goose biots
thorax cover, ice blue (you cant see it in the photo)
breather, small booby eye
