There was another stand called the silk route and i was talking to her about the fine silk threads,i told her what it was for and she said she also sells a lot of what they call SILK TISSUE to fly tyers and she asked me what they use it for,i had not got a clue, anybody got the answer?

Horses,

"Silk Tissue" is a type of organza ribbon from India - very pretty but rather pricey for fly tying compared to standard organza ribbon from craft shops and florists.

Kind regards

Uses are shell backs, wings and I suppose even bodies.
Wouldnt think its used big time though with all the good modern materials that we have now.
