Well I always thought that muddlers were better when the hair was packed in tight, but recently experimented with some tied on the loose side. It didn't seem to affect the floating very much and the trout still went for them.

Good attempts

Some of the best fishing ive had without catching was up at loganlea pulling a big muddler minow throw the waves at the dam wall, the fish were chasing it right in or grabbing at it at full speed, not one hooked but what a great time

Muddlers are a must imo
