Default badger capes/saddles help?

hello i am wanting to buy a few badger capes or saddles for tying salmon flies
but i dont know what to buy, as the only capes i have ever bought have been veinards cock capes i dont know what i am looking for as in sizes or best quality capes. i am willing to spend the money but would like a bit of advice before i go waste my money on something i carnt use. also i read a thread on this forum some where about some one selling them for £6 each and now i can not find it so if any one could help i really would appreciate it.

Get some hen cpaes i these colours, a lot cheaper than cock and a load morer movement, they are about a tenner in the uk...

You only need top quality cock hackle capes for dry flies. For salmon flies Indian and Chinese capes (of the right colours) will do fine.

Have a look at Lakeland - not cheap but are very very good.
