Default Gliss'n'glow

I've bought a pack of Gliss'n'glow in Olive to tie up some saltwater streamers and Clousers. Unfortunately once taken out of the packaging it's turned so curly it's useless for the task (looks like a leprechauns mad green curly pubes). I have a pack of the pearl which lies quite straight and flat. My question is can this be straightened out (perhaps over steam for example).
