Default I would love

I would love to be able to tie a classic atlantic salmon fly [ well] but were do you start?i tie all my own flies for trout and grayling .I have never fished for salmon ,never had the chance,so if i could master the tying of these beautiful flies i would want to mount them somehow.I have had a look at youtube and at one or two books on the subject but i still think that you cannot beat getting some tuition from a competent salmon fly tyer, any ideas? thank you

There are some great SBS and Techniques for Salmon Flies shown here......

http://ukflydressing.proboards.com/i...lay&thread=381

You may get someone that will come forward if you let the guys know what part of the world you come from. You never know you may find a Salmon Fly tyer close by who is willing to set you off. Failing that get yourself along to the fly tying shows the pros there are on hand to guide you as well as entertain you.

Don't tie Salmon Flies meself but who knows one day.

You learn ten times quicker watching someone tie a salmon fly. Get someone to help you and give you lessons.
