Default Cobbled brown

Having got withdrawal symptoms from a day or so without wings I have returned to the flaxen feather for more aerodynamic experimentation and this one really does fly, chucked it 3 sheets to the wind and it was away and where the h"^l it went I'm b*^%"*d if I know, anyway I got its pic first. Tied on a kamasan B175 size 12.....didn't even have time to iron out that crease in the wing

Thanks for looking and all comments welcome

cheers

Thats a wee cracker Mark
I love the barring effect of the wing I think waterhen is one bird I have never had.
As for the fly flying away it has happened to me a couple of times ,you would think I would be used to the wind.

Thanks dabhoy, waterhen's kind of an acquired taste I think, although its very soft and almost silky to the touch, it has a stiff look to it that belies its nature. You also have to handle it carefully as the fibres have a tendency to shift, but its no bad for tying wings.

The others have said it all. Never heard of a cobbled brown though.
