Default Mallard and claret blue

Don't ask me what the eck I'm trying to do here as I'm not really sure, not a great fan of oval tinsel as it always seems to pull apart showing the cording underneath for me but I'll persevere (can't beat the wire), anyways still needs a bit of tweaking. Tied on a kamasan B175 size 12...another wedding invitation yet again

Thanks for looking and all comments welcome (especially funny ones)

cheers

mark

Usually a recipie for disaster.... however... I think you've actually out-Bergmaned your hero Ray Bergman here, Mark. Looks to me like you've not only come up with a stunning looking fly, superbly executed, but one that actually looks like it might also be useful!!!!

Keep trying with the oval mate.... I know it can be a pain in't ass like, but sometimes it just HAS to be oval. I know what you mean about the stuff falling apart... it does put one off a wee bit and make one reach for the wire. You get what you pay for though... Try Lagartun or other dearer brands. Well worth it.

Stunning fly Mark

P.S. these 'wedding invites' are all well and good mate, but you're depriving us of the full and natural colour range

Thanks alot Rob, great words there, I am most humbled and thanks for the tip regarding the oval, I'll be lookinng into gettin some a that expensive stuff. I'll be working on the presentation a wee bit more, a few tweaks here and there.

Thats another beauty Mark
I agree with Rob about using oval tinsel like Lagaturn as it is far superior and it doesn't cost much more.

Perfect! A beautiful fly and very well done, that one could be in a book or magazine You selected the perfect GP for the tail and I really like the look of the body.
