Exclamation HELP can't find a thread??

Hi guys, looking for a fairly recent thread? It was a very kind guy sharing his ideas, tying in a small ring to the back of a dry hook instead of having to tie the line direct to the shank nz style?
Please help hoping to tie a few for a weeks time, i've got the principal but would like to see it again thanks jon

Go to the bottom of the page to Google custom search. Type in leader rings, that shows quite a few threads on the subject. I just did and there are several, obviously I don't know which one you've seen, go have a mooch. Hth.

Chris.

Chris thanks for the lead.I have had a look through but as yet can't find the thread? I don't know if i have been unclear? It is not for droppers as most of the thread seesm to suggest but a ring tied into the fly sitting at the rear of the fly that droppers, leaders can then be attached to and does away with the line getting in the way if tied to the shank.

Thanks Gander, that wasn't it but shows me the idea and describes it. What i was unsure about was how to secure the mono underneath the thread? didn't want the biggy getting off

you can just tie in a simple loop of mono at the bend and you wouldnt even need the metal ring
