Default Royal Coachman Floss

I am planning on tying up some RC variants and was wondering if there is any type/shade of floss that is particularly recommended? At the moment, I am leaning towards Globrite No4.

Whatever for Paul? The Royal Coachman has to be the most useless fly ever devised. Mind you, you did say 'variants' I suppose. Still, it'll be a task and a half to come up with something remotely fishy using the RC template. Would be interested to see what you come up with.

Seeing as you'll be tying variants, then I don't suppose the rib material or colour actually matters a great deal. No.4 will be pretty full on... you might want to turn the volume down a bit with No.3, which isn't actually fluorescent. Then there's red holographic? Red ostritch?

I have a cunning plan. I'll send you one when I get it tied. I was actually considering the red holo also.
