Default Devon half stone by request

I had a request to tie a Devon half-stone from Shamus (Dartmoor navigator) for some strange reason he thinks I'm some Kind of expert (teehee I had to laff) anyway I had a go at it but tied it with wings (sorry I have wing disease) but will hopefully have a go at just a hackled wet sometime as that is how it's traditionally tied. I'm not that keen on useing floss as it usually ends up slipping down around the bend of the hookshank but managed to get away wi it this time. By the way Shamus, your turn now....Green Highlander please, not too much florican mind

Oh my goodness - what a fantastic creation

Mark... You are a true gent I have seen a superb SBS by Richard (Devon Flyfisher) who did it as a dry for the Durban Flytyers I struggle with all of my 'fiddly' little flies (by fiddly I mean anything smaller than a 3/4 inch tube fly If I could wish to tie one fly perfectly - this would be it (but I can't). Traditionally foshed as a wet fly it's history and perceived imitation is uncertain. But it is Devonian

Thanks devon flyfisher, you should never use 3/0 thread to tie this fly but you did a really good job considering and in front of an audience
