Default Grayling bugs

With the grayling season fast approaching and a moth eaten, threadbare fly box I thought I had better make a start in topping up the boxes.
To take care of the heavy fly on a Czech nymph rig I thought I would rattle up something simple. Most of them end up stuck on the bottom so close copy, twenty minutes to tie, flies are out.
Nice cheap grub hook, ok an expensive tungsten bead, some fur and away we go.
Started off with a simple hares ear then the wee devil on my shoulder had me reaching for the fancy coloured beads and a bit of dubbing with some bling.

Had a wee go at a woven beastie, think it needs some work

Then as an antidote to these monsters some size 18 nymphs.

Hope you like them.

Cheers guys.
They are pretty simple, as I said most of them get stuck on the bottom

Cheers Graham. Stopped counting how many bugs are staying in the river, too many!

If you can't catch grayling with that lot, your reactions are to slow. They'll take them as soon as they hit the water.
