Are any of these nice flies of yours actually catching in the Eden of late Mark.?
Spent a lovely day today with a friend on the Kirkby Stephen and Appleby waters, and the river was in fine fettle, but fish were hard to find rising.
I managed three to 1lb on the dry, but hard work.
How's things your end.

Havn't fished the Eden at all this year Steven just the irthing which is a tribuatary of the Eden, it hasn't been that good this year to be honest, think there's a guy who goes everyday and flogs it to death (not me by the way). But there seems to be very little surface activity for some reason although trout do spend 90% of their feeding habits sub-surface - so i'm told but still I'd expect to see more going on as there's been some good hatches, I've had a few nice ones but nothing startling, it used to be bubbling with trout....ah its strange this fly fishing lark
