Default Fishing for Heroes, Salmon fly frame

Ladies and Gents,

I am putting together 3 frames of Salmon flies based on the colours of the campaign ribbons awarded to the British armed forces since the 2nd world war. Each fly will be tied by a different tier and represent one Medal. Ultimately a poster will be made of the frames and this too will be sold for the charity

The frames will be auctioned/sold/used for promotions to aid the Fishing for Heroes charity of which I am a Trustee.

I have already got most of the tiers identifed but still need a couple high level British tiers to help out. Sorry to exclude you foreign chaps but we want this to reflect the UK armed forces and use just UK tiers.

You will be tying 3 Identical Original Salmon flies on size 3/0 hooks
using the colours of a medal ribbon that I will supply to you. Apart from those constrictions the rest is up to you.

Drop me a PM if interested. I will probably not be able to use everyone who replies so please don't be offended if not chosen.

Thanks in advance

Hi Chris,
I took early retirement and now tie Salmon and Sea Trout flies on a semi professional basis and was one of the Pro Tyers at the BFFI at Stafford in June of this year.
I tie mostly hair wing patterns but also feather wing flies and flies from both hair and feather combined and ask that I be considered to tie flies on behalf of Fishing For Heroes.
I can email some photographs of my flies if required
