Bert,
You might be better placing this enquiry on the "destination-fishing" section Destination Fishing - Fly Fishing Forums where people ask questions about where to fish.

I'd copy and paste (or re-type) your original question into a new post on the "Destinations" page and then go back to your original post, click "edit" and delete the text, replacing it with "moved to the 'destinations' forum".

Oops, didn't know that Bert's reference was to a still water fishery. Is "destinations" only for exotic places outside of the UK?

That's what it's really intended for.But if you were Italian or American. Then the UK would/could be a Destination For You.

I guess that having seen posts for Wick, Skye and Orkneys, I assumed that anything north of the border counted as exotic

Are you planning on bank or boat Bert ?
I have only fished it once and thought it was a pretty good venue.
