Thumbs up Big "Thumps up" to Sam at Eliteflies.

Package of 'goodies,' none available here in the US, in yesterdays Post. From the "Isle of Man" no less. Another first (packet) from the UK.

Time to re-hone my 'dubbing skills.

I'll second that Fred, but I'm curious to know what stuff you can't get over there!

Well, just dumped the first response.

Polar Bear and Seal fur (and) several types of feathers immediately come to mind. With the PB fur you have to be able to prove you've had same since (roughly) 1962 or you could be in 'deep hurt' if confronted by "The Man."

Ditto with several kinds of feathers for fly-ties. Only person I know who grows/sells these feathers is located in Ashland, Oregon. You order (and they are pricie as all heck) and Kate includes a CERTIES (wrong set of initials there) certificate. A feather can easily cost you $5.00, but if you want to play at big Atlantic Salmon flies .. you just 'pay up.'

Didn't know things were that PC over there now. Think the word you're looking for is CITES, but I know where you're coming from as some canadian friends told me how hard it was to get seal's fur and polar bear plus certain feathers in Canada so should imagine the USA is even tougher. Good Luck. Byron

Dead on Bro., dead on. Maybe why I have to 'access' same through the UK? (No kidding!)
