Default Corixa pattern

Had a go at a Tellico variant to target the corixa. Any winning patterns out there?

Looks very neat and businesslike. I like the background colour that you have chosen for the photo.

Nice Mike, as Rob says simple but will work.

These work. As does a red holo rib diawl bach.

Cruncher variations

I tend to stick to something more generic than an actual imitation, something like a pearly Diawl Bach or a skinny pearly dabbler seem to do the trick.

Nowt wrong with yours though - should do the trick.

Thanks for the replies gents.

Mark, I seem to remember you had a suspender pattern, maybe I dreamed it? Do you find the gold cheeks make a difference to your crunchers? I was going to put some on this fly but ran out of space, too much lead underbody near the eye.

Gold cheek gives me added confidence in the crunchers yes Mike. The plain one also works well with red thread head.

Gave this a whirl yesterday. Nowt new as far as a pearly cruncher goes but the thorax gives off a blue hue when caught in the right light.

Picked up from Hobby Craft a couple of years ago from the bargain bucket and until yesterday I hadn't tried it. 'Angelina Crystal Amethyst Fusible Fibre'. Obviously the crummy pics don't catch the blue but it had it's day yesterday. Ignore the foam, obviously.
