Had one for years, excellent vice. Replaced it with a snowbee waldron but prefer the griffin, back in use and getting rid of the snowbee!

I enjoy using the Patriot too. Suits me just fine.

Had a Patriot for years than I care to mention. Use it for all my talks and demonstrations. Have tried lots of 'superior' vices but not found one to better the Griffin. I do, however use it with the 'cam' on the lower side of the vice, might not suit everyone, using it that way, but I do tie an awfull lot of flies and it works for me.

I have had one for a year and am very pleased with it, a quality piece of kit. The hook never slips, Steve Parton wrote favourably about them on his web site although he stopped stocking them when the $ got too expensive

Steve was my first port of call.

He then suggested Tracy @ Rutland Lodge and she only had a Superior....... she may have taken Steve's stock.

Anyway one is on it's way over the Altlantic for me with all the trimmings straight from Griffin.
